Prior to joining Centenary Bank Limited, Mr. Nampota worked as a Group Internal Control Specialist and Relief Group Finance Manager for the multinational investment company Old Mutual Malawi Limited. He brings with him valuable experience in banking, microfinance, forex bureau, insurance, and the manufacturing business in Malawi, having worked for Malawi Savings Bank (now FDH Bank) for eight years in various capacities, including Chief Finance Officer and Company Secretary for World Vision Microfinance Company, Vision Fund Malawi, among others.

Professionally, he is a Chartered Accountant (CA) with fellowship status (FCCA) and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi (ICAM) and the Malawi Accountants Board. He also holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Eastern and Southern Africa Management Institute (ESAMI) in Arusha, Tanzania, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Management (Management Development Program - MDP) from the University of Manchester in the UK. He completed the joint ACCA/Oxford Brookes University degree examinations in June 2003.
