John Bizwick is a seasoned economist with over four decades of experience in leadership roles across Malawi's financial and corporate sectors. He holds a Master of Science in Economics from Strathclyde University, Glasgow, and a Bachelor of Social Science in Economics from Chancellor College, Zomba.
Mr. Biziwick has held prominent positions, including Commissioner General of the Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA), Chief Executive Officer of NBS Bank, and Group Operations Executive at Press Corporation Limited. His tenure at MRA was marked by surpassing revenue targets and driving a culture of performance excellence.
A transformative leader, he spearheaded the conversion of New Building Society into NBS Bank, facilitating its successful listing on the Malawi Stock Exchange. His expertise extends to strategic management, foreign exchange, and public-private investment negotiations, honed through advanced training at institutions such as Harvard Business School and the University of Cape Town.
